The Konopinda cottage is situated in a quiet part of Pec pod Sněžkou, 170km northeast of Prague in the Krkonoše Mountains. The Giant Mountains are situated on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. For its extraordinary natural beauty, the Krkonoše area was declared as a national park. Thanks to its exquisite beauty and great snow conditions, the Giant Mountains have become one of the most sought after getaways in the Czech Republic. During the summer season, activities are primarily focused around hiking and cycling. In winter the Krkonoše Mountains provide ideal conditions for skiers. There are many ski centers in the Giant Mountains with, well-groomed slopes and ski lifts , as well as a vast network of cross-country trails  The Krkonoše area has a well-functioning infrastructure that allows visitors to fully enjoy their stay in the mountains.
